Excerpt: Many people have an allergy to the word love, with good reason. So we made the title of the retreat "Divine Love," not human love, and we have to be very clear of the difference, because the human ego cannot love.

The human ego uses the word love to manipulate others, to control them, to possess them, to seduce them, and to abuse them very often. Probably all of us have been to some extent abused in the name of love. So it is understandable to why there is a conditioned response to distrusting at best, the word love, and wanting to run away as far as possible from being abused again.
